Forest Research Database
Researchers throughout the Northeast are studying a variety of
topics related to forests, from research on non-point pollution in
streams to international marketing opportunities for New England
wood products. As part of NCFCNFR’s mission to make research results
more accessible for community benefit, we have developed this
database to provide the user with user-friendly access to a variety
of non-technical research abstracts and links to other
online databases. Abstracts and topic-specific databases
can be viewed by browsing the list of forest-related categories,
while links to general databases are arranged by the type of group
or institution that hosts the database. In addition, we have
added links to links to numerous online glossaries of
forest-related terms, which can be accessed by clicking
"Glossary" in the upper right-hand corner of each page of
the database.

Non-Technical Research Abstracts
We have selected a number of research initiatives from the
Northeastern United States and around the county for inclusion in
this database. Because information on research projects often
contains highly-technical scientific language that is difficult to
understand, we have made our best attempt to condense, summarize,
and explain research initiatives in a way that best conveys the overall
purpose of the research without eliminating important details.

here.
Links to Other Research Databases
Within each category, topic-specific databases will be displayed
immediately before the non-technical research abstracts.
Databases that are broad in scope or do not coincide with the
categories that we have provided can be found in the General
Databases section.
